Safe Place for pets is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that helps people who are terminally ill, and their families , by finding homes for their pets .
we were founded 27 years ago by a group of hospice nurses who saw firsthand the pain of not knowing what will happen to your best 4- legges friend when the end of life is approaching .
PET SURRENDER
We receive pets from those who are terminally ill and their families and are looking for help finding a forever home for their beloved pet(s)
INTAKE & CARE
We raise funds to care for the pets, see to their medical and dental needs, and nurture them while they heal from the trauma of separation.
ADOPTION
When a pet is ready , we carefully assess potential adopters, even visiting the home to be sure it’s a healthy environment.
