Safe Place Surrendering is Paused
As of June 15th, Safe Place for Pets has our animal surrendering on pause. We have recently moved out of our old shelter (located on Hancock St) and are in the process of renovating our new home and getting it purr-fect for our pets, volunteers, and visitors. While we get our new home ready, we are relying on our trusty team of fosters within the Colorado Springs community to take care of our pets. Being temporarily 100% foster-based means that we aren’t able to take in any new pets due to space limitations.
We are committed to executing this relocation as quickly as possible so we can get back to helping new surrendering owners and their families in our community. As soon as we are up and running in our new shelter and are ready to help find homes for new pets in the El Paso and Teller Counties, we will have our Surrender Application back up and running on our site. You can keep an eye out on our Facebook and Instagram pages for updates, or feel free to keep checking our website (we will update it as soon as things change).
Below we have included a list of additional resources in the community that we recommend you reach out to for help surrendering your pet.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@safeplacepets.org.
